THE LITTLEST FLOWER

AN ORATORIO by SILVER GODLING

 

FOR SOLI, SOPRANO AND ALTO, ORCHESTRA OF DOUBLE BASS, VIOLIN, LUTE, PLUCKED STRING INSTRUMENTS, WOODWINDS, ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENTS, AND PIANO

The Littlest Flower is a 4-part musical story of finding, losing, perhaps never having, and the bittersweet resistance to impermanence.

 

Part I consists of 3 pieces of music: Overture; To Walk, To Feel; and The Finding. These are demo versions with acoustic piano, acoustic double basses, acoustic guitar, lute, MIDI instrumentation, and scratch vocals. The final version, which is in the process of being recorded will have the instrumentation listed above.
